Kumejima Airport

Kumejima Airport (UEO) is located on the West end of Kume Island. It is accessible by Taxi, Car, or Bus.

Kume Airport Checkin Counter

Though Kume Island Airport is small, it maintains an efficient ticketing and check-in area on the north side of the building. Passengers can security check their baggage before checking in. Nearby there is also a “Relaxation Space” massage service company for those with a little extra time.

Kume Airport Shopping

Between the north check-in area and the southern Arrivals, Kumejima Airport hosts a wide area with shops, food and entertainment. There are three stores catering mostly to last minute souvenirs. It is a great place for to pick up a few snacks or a bottle of awamori before you check your bag.

Across from the shops is a small restaurant with Okinawan Soba and Blue Seal ice cream next to a small sitting area with artistic galleries and a display of Rakuten Eagles memorabilia. For kids and those young at heart there is also a game center, with more arcade games on the second level. Upstairs there is an observation area where you can watch the ocean just past the landing strip and see flights land or take off.
