On September 25 and 26 from 9am to 5pm Kume Island will be hosting a Hawaiian Festival to celebrate the many unique cultural ties between Hawaii and Okinawa. Kume Island and Hawaii County share a sister city relationship and over the years, locals have adopted Hawaiian culture such as Hula.
Festivities will take place at Eef Beach Hotel on the 25th and at Cypress Resort on the 26th. The cost is 1,000 yen (~$10) per person. Full details in Japanese at their website http://www.kume-hawaiian.com/
